Ya, it took me a minute to figure out that they were cable ends, but I wanted to try the Walken comma.
Oxford comma is also my favourite. Without it, sentences can sound confusing.
“We invited the strippers, Stalin, and Hitler.”
“We invited the strippers, Stalin and Hitler.”
But how much better would the first half of the last century have been, if these two had found a respectable job as in your example!
I prefer the Shatner comma. I put them in so that people know where to take pauses, you know, for a dramatic effect.
