I’m on team Will. She sounds like a trainwreck.

        Which is strange for a 14y.o. girl…why?

        • The Original Green Arrow

I think he can do better. Will doesn’t need that drama queen in is life.

Because she communicates within a relationship? o.O Better to be quiet and feel even worse about it then getting an answer if there’s rumors going around, right?

          • The Original Green Arrow

He broke up with you, deal with it already.

  • Mister_B_Posters

I guess at least it’s a decisive approach..

Why is the screen shot so potato? It looks like the photo of a printout of a photo of a screenshot.

The picture must have been shared a lot and posted in a lot of different places. Every time the picture is copied somewhere new it gets a little bit worse, you can’t tell until it’s happened over 100 times or so. But eventually if a picture is saved and posted enough, the picture becomes so blurry you can’t even read it anymore. I’ve seen it on another repost site, it was so bad it’s like why do you keep posting these images instead of finding a version closer to the original.

But these are digital files. Digital files don’t get worse when you copy them. Sure when you upload, it might upload a lower quality in order to save space but it won’t keep happening. If it’s already low quality, the site won’t make it smaller and smaller.

        • Snapdragon

Digital files can still degrade. Some are worse than others, if I recall correctly I think .jpeg is one of the worst formats. Ideally you’d be correct and the image would forever stay the same, but this link explains the comic and a few of the ways an image will degrade over time.

That’s different. It’s talking about when something is screenshotted again and again. So it’s not the same digital file. If digital files deteriorate too much, you won’t be able to even read them. The file will be corrupted. No matter how many times you copy a jpeg, you won’t see like the one in the post. The thing is, stupid people don’t know how to screenshot or save photos. Instead of, say, downloading and sending a photo of a screenshot, they take screenshots of screenshots. That’s why the quality is bad. Like I said, digital file don’t get worse when you copy them.

It did mostly talk about screenshots, I didn’t remember that so well when I first thought of the comic. I guess it better explains the original potato screenshot but not so much what we started talking about. I misspoke when I was saying the picture gets saved because I didn’t mean saving the file, but rather copying (via screenshot) it to their device and sharing. I used the wrong word, sorry for the confusion.

I think I was a bit confused and tired when I posted too, I wasn’t fully getting what you were saying. A true copy shouldn’t degrade the file, that’s true. There are still ways the file can degrade, such as technology advancing and becoming less compatible or the file saving differently than the original. But if you just copy the file exactly, then you have two copies that are the same.

I get what you’re saying. I guess it was just a misunderstanding. Since I have always been a techy, nerdy, (and socially awkward, but not relevant) guy when someone uses words such as ‘copy’ in regards to a digital file, to me it means the technical process of a digital file being copied. But in common parlance people might use to loosely to mean screenshotting. (Just like some people say they are OCD about something when they don’t mean the medical term.) I guess that’s how the confusion arose.

Also I want to add, some people might intentionally use low quality screenshots, comic strips/artworks, or even photos to make duplicitous copies. They change something, say panels in a comic strip, to make it look like the creator is saying something (racist for example) that they didn’t originally intended. When an image is of lower quality, it becomes much more difficult to tell whether it’s original or changed in some way.
