    This one was pre-downliked?

you know I wonder if it’s related to the last person to leave an up or down vote is reflecting on the site as a whole

The past few days I noticed that many new posts already have one down vote. My guess is we have a compulsive downvoter among us.

But this one the down vote thing was already red, as if I had down voted, when I had not. In the past, I have found ones pre up-voted. I needed to click on them a couple of times to get the number to go up. (But yeah, we do seem to have some who I guess get a thrill from down voting… ohhh who’s bad… LOL)

I get that a lot with the upvotes. Maybe a quarter of the time I go to upvote something, and it is already done. I just figured hoodiedog was psychic.

I don’t think it actually counts towards the numbers though, because if I click it off then on again, the number does not go down, but does go up, when I click a second time.

*wearing a fake mustache and beard over his mustache and beard* Who could this dastardly, and yet dashingly handsome man be?

    I don’t get this?

imho, the snaps is implying that the phrase “everybody is beautiful” is quite misleading, as the so called “beautiful people” only refers to a certain group of people depicted at the center of the picture, not the group as a whole.

with that, i tend to agree with @The_Peoples_Poet:disqus’s comment that everyone is unique, but not everyone is beautiful.

Mkay then, let’s go with that – unique, not beautiful. Well, that’s all for tonight folks! Thanks for being with us and we’ll see you next time! 🙂

No, they aren’t. Everyone is unique, but not everyone is beautiful. The reality is that most people, myself included, are average looking.

Now, you could factor in ‘mental beauty’, or the ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ arguments, but they don’t make the person beautiful, they make them more beautiful to YOU.

You make it sound as though objective beauty exists, and that’s an impossibility. It’s like saying some colors or elements are better than others outside of someone’s personal judgement. Beauty describes a human need. If one person’s need for beauty is met by anything, that thing could accurately be described as beautiful.

      • The People’s Poet

Not really, more that subjective beauty exists more as an abstract, than literally.

          I’m still not following.

      • Nick Klein

I think you mean objective. Subjective means influenced by personal feelings and opinions.

        • Rev. Analbumcover

You are correct; I’ve changed it.
