    I remember a time in graduate school when I was teaching undergrad biology. I noted a bad question on the test they were taking (fair enough I wrote it at 2:00 a.m.). I stopped them and told them that it was my bad and gave them the correct answer. I still had 15 people get it wrong. Needless to say there was little sympathy for those who still missed the question.

      After years of telling the ‘kids’ to read all the paper before writing, I put at the bottom
      “Sign this and give it to me” – none did!! :/

        Honestly I once saw a professor present a test that was headed with ‘Carefully read all instructions’. The name line said fill this in and turn in your page. Nobody caught the freebie…
