Yep, now see how he reacts: no public shaming, no scandals, no harassment charges, no demands for her sacking. If you ask me, brain trauma caused by double standards is the leading cause for brain tumors.

My parents come from a culture where everybody kisses everybody, even on the lips sometimes..

Not saying it’s a good idea to kiss people without their consent but people over here sure do dramatize the act, with some unironically likening it to rape. It’s bizarre to me. Are we becoming less tolerant of sexual assault or are we becoming more prudish and disconnected as a people? IDK, it’s a good conversation to have.

the people who claim unironically kissing is rape are usually not prudish, they just disagree with something you believe/think most of the time.

From my perspective, of an optimist who’s been in some deep shit and faced death on multiple occasions, I am wholeheartedly believe we are becoming more disconnected, thin-skinned and inept to our own devices, butt-hurt beings. We’ve become so dependent on outside factors for our personal state of mind that the tiniest breeze of critical thought is considered a controversy and easily escalates to life-altering drama.

Obviously, he needs more education on assaulting women.
On that note, never EVER say, “I need more education on how to sexually assault a woman” at a workplace meeting on the subject. I had a very long chat with my HR team and company President for that.

If you’re one of the universally liked/attractive guys in the office, you don’t have to worry about anyone complaining for sexual harassment. Though I can’t guarantee that in 20 years from now some cunt who just lost her vibrator won’t suddenly realize she DIDN’T like it when you said “You got an ass that won’t quit, Karen”.

        • Das Puggy

TBH, I doubt I would ever say that to a woman even if her ass never quit. Even if she doesn’t find it offensive later, it’s a good way to get her to think about her ass, and she’ll start covering it up later.

Good thinking! Tell her her eyes are like the stars and she’ll come in a thong the next day 😀

Because yes, that’s exactly where I was going with that.

I think you’re missing one huge detail in what counts as sexual harassment. Just because another guy has consent to flirt with female, it doesn’t mean that the same female is required to put up with unwanted flirting from someone she doesn’t like. “Well he had consent, why can’t I have it?!” is children’s logic.

If I start explaining my point, would you sue me for mansplaining?

          • Nora Bora

Depends – are you going to tell me something I already know? =)

          • Martin Kamenov Georgiev

From where I’m standing – as a man, yes. I think a lot is misunderstood, misrepresented, biased and many details are taken for granted and assumed. Hence, we end up with such conversations.
