I believe the sexist part is in favor of men, but has been twisted. The argument is that men shouldn’t have to wear so many layers in the first place

I struggle to understand the need for business dress when you have zero interaction with company clients or the public. As long as it’s somewhat presentable it should be fine.

I’ve heard enough stories from other IT techs you were expected to be wearing dress pants, shirts and ties when all they did was work in a call centre. Meanwhile their team leader is wearing jeans and a t, which may or may not look like it had been washed recently.

I’m glad to be working in an office that uses what they call “business smart” dress code. Don’t be a slob. Wear clothing that is appropriate in nature. Dress for the job you want

My code is – ‘dress as if you were taking Mum for lunch’ – seems to work!

Clothes aside, men generally prefer a lower temperature to women, and the standards for air conditioning temperatures are based on what men prefer.

Let’s not forget that she is incompetent enough to believe the office being 73° is causing her to get sick.

    A) put on a jacket
    B) blame sexism and the patriarchy

There was an interesting study on office temperature and the effects on productivity in men vs women: https://www.npr.org/2019/06/06/730438603/the-battle-for-the-office-thermostat
