A prime number is a number that can only be divided by itself or 1 – hence “indivisible” meaning it can’t be divided 😉

        Thank you.

        Wouldn’t 51 be a prime number then?

        • Dæggie

          51:3 = 17

I got the concept I just didn’t anticipate that you could divide 51 by 3.
            Cool stuff!

Maybe I didnt give the best example. Here’s an example from someone who’s alot better than me at maths 🙂
“A prime number can be divided evenly only by 1, or itself.
And it must be a whole number greater than 1.
Example: 5 can only be divided evenly by 1 or 5, so it is a prime number.
But 6 can be divided evenly by 1, 2, 3 and 6 so it is NOT a prime number
          (it is a composite number)”

Hope that clears it up! 🙂
