  1. Ha, ha! “Aid.” There are a lot of people who still think the US government gives “aid” to foreign countries. It doesn’t. It gives this aid only if certain conditions are met by those countries. If this is “aid”, then my employer could say he’s giving me aid, but only if certain conditions are met (like doing my job.) That’s not aid, it’s payment for services rendered.

    It’s called “aid” because it sounds better than “money paid to corrupt officials in other countries to get them to betray their own people.”
